The Metivta community mourns the passing of its founder and revered teacher Rabbi Jonathan Omer-man. Rav Jonathan (as he was known to us) passed away peacefully on Tuesday night, May 2nd at the age of 89 in his home in Berkeley surrounded by his loved ones. His funeral is Sunday May 7 in Mill Valley, California. Here is a link to his obituary in the Jewish Daily Telegraph.

We in the Metivta community will be honoring and remembering this exceptional man in the days ahead. In the meantime, his teachings live on, and, zikhrono lebrokha may his memory be a blessing for all of us.
