Welcome to Metivta!
Have you been searching for a different kind of High Holy Days experience? One that is truly transformative? One that takes you deeper — beyond all the stories and words? An experience you can feel and touch and taste?
This year, you have found your place! Metivta’s contemplative prayer services — weaving together chant, meditation, movement and embodied learning — will take you on a unique journey of Teshuvah, a return to the root of your soul.
We are led by Rabbi Andrew Hahn, the Kirtan Rabbi, and Metivta’s teachers. The “Kirtan Rabbi” is internationally known for pioneering call-and-response meditative chant in the Jewish world. As both teacher and musician, he unites celebration of Torah and song in a way that allows modern Jews to discover renewed energy within their Jewish or spiritual practice. To learn more about the Kirtan Rabbi visit: www.kirtanrabbi.com
Maggid Paul Wolff and composer/musician Steve Moos will be offering their "Soul Scene" on Rosh Hashanah, which is a teaching set to original music. Maggid Wolff will also offer a teaching on Yom Kippur. Click here to see last year's "Soul Scene."
